Hi. My name is Amanda Zuehlke, and all I want to do right now in life is love, write, and design.
Thank you for visiting my blog and checking out what I have to say. Please do comment, question, like, share, complain – in short, interact – with my posts. All of it is appreciated. Unless it’s spam. Spam is icky.
About me: I’m a Digital Marketing Consultant for hire, working from my home on the West side of Cleveland, and I also do freelance graphic design. I enjoy writing, watching movies, reading, learning new things, crafting, traveling, cooking, planning events, giving hugs, and cracking puns. I have two amazing stepdaughters, the best husband ever, one autophobic cat, two greedy guinea pigs, and more dust mites than I care to admit. I still help with the street paper I started in Toledo, and long to find a local urban ministry to which I can give of my time and talent. I’m a relatively recent Whovian and Sherlock fan, and a long-time lover of Alice in Wonderland and Anne of Green Gables. I believe in magic because we all have it inside ourselves, and that we choose to live our lives as either adventures or accidents. Allonsimo!
This blog is based on one of my favorite quotes from C.S. Lewis:
There are no ordinary people. You have never talked to a mere mortal. Nations, cultures, arts, civilizations – these are mortal, and their life is to ours as the life of a gnat. But it is immortals whom we joke with, work with, marry, snub, and exploit – immortal horrors or everlasting splendors.
My hope is my words might help at least myself toward being an everlasting splendor.
